Andrew Howard - Managing Director | Colin Young
Andrew Howard MRICS has worked for the company since 2001 and is a chartered surveyor. Andrew was educated at Bristol and Aberdeen Universities. Andrew heads the management team and takes direct responsibility for the Company’s development opportunities and renewables projects. As well as his work for the company he is a Director of Scottish Land & Estates, Inverness Airport Business Park Ltd, Ascot Racecourse Estates Limited and Ascot Racecourse Property Developments Limited. He lives with his wife and three daughters near Forres.
Scott Seton ACMA was appointed as Group Accountant in June 2014. Scott is responsible for the financial reporting and planning of the Estate, along with compliance, financial and tax areas. He worked previously for Diageo Malt Distilling and Unilever UK and was educated at Edinburgh University. Scott lives with his family in Elgin.
Andrew Spoor joined the company as Farms Manager in October 2016 having worked on farms in Lincolnshire, Norfolk and Suffolk for the past 22 years for Velcourt. Andrew will continue to work for Velcourt who have a management contract for Darnaway Farms. Andrew gained a degree in Agriculture at Seale-Hayne Agricultural College in Devon and has moved up to Moray to live on the Estate with his wife, Jane. Andrew & Jane have one son who is currently away at University.
Ben Clinch joined the Company in April 2012. Ben moved up to Scotland after working for Fountain Forestry in Wales and the West Midlands to set up as a self employed Forestry Consultant before his recent employment with Bowlts Chartered Surveyors in Inverness. Ben is responsible for the management of all the Company’s and Moray family’s woodland assets. He lives locally with his wife, Mandy, and their two young daughters.
Master of Works
Graham Reid joined the company in 2004 having previously worked within the Construction and Estate Management Sectors in Glasgow and on the Uists in the Outer Hebrides. As Master of Works, he is responsible for the management, repair and upkeep of the Company’s buildings and infrastructure, most particularly our residential properties. He lives with his wife and three children near Forres.
Building Works Technician
Craig joined Moray Estates Development Company Limited in January 2011 as Building Works Technician to provide extra support for the expanding maintenance requirement and pro-active portfolio management for the Estate. With a time served joinery background and an HNC in Construction Management, Craig complements the existing Estates’ Department team. Craig lives on the Estate at Darnaway.
Doune Estate Manager
Rory McLeod MRICS joined the Company in May 2013. He is a chartered surveyor, having previously worked for Bidwells in their Fort William and Perth Offices. Having studied Land Economy at Aberdeen and Ecological Design at Robert Gordon’s he took a ten-year “sabbatical” from land agency to work in conservation, primarily leading teams building upland footpaths for the National Trust for Scotland. Rory is responsible for the management of the Company’s Doune Estate and lives at Doune.
Residential Property Manager (North)
Nicole Petrie joined the Company in November 2007 to work on the Tornagrain project, more recently, Nicole has also been seconded to the Estates’ Department to manage the northern portion of the company’s residential property portfolio. Nicole, who lives near Elgin with her husband and her two sons, worked with Hamptons Estate Agents for 8 years both in residential sales and latterly managing their office portfolio of 70 units across England and the South of Scotland.
