Moray Estates has commenced work on one of the first new towns in Scotland for at least a generation.

The estate has permission for 5,000 homes, schools, shops and employment space on a site 9 miles east of Inverness on the Castle Stuart Estate. The new town called Tornagrain already has 270 occupied homes, shops, a nursery, café, allotments and community orchards and gardens.

Tornagrain has been inspired by the architectural and planning traditions of Scotland and the Highlands, and will evolve into a vibrant market town with a population of approximately 12,500.
