The Doune Community Woodland Group have again been successful in winning the Small Community Woodland Group category in the Scotland’s Finest Woods Awards. The Awards, which are billed at Scotland Woodland “Oscars” were announced recently at the Royal Highland Show. The Award was presented at the Show by Mairi Gougeon, the Scottish Government’s Cabinet Secretary for Rural Affairs to Tony Farrant (Chairman) and Ken Carson (committee member). Moray Estates are the owners of the Doune Ponds Local Nature Reserve and work closely in partnership with the Woodland Group to manage the Ponds.
